Why become a scout?

As a scout, you go on adventures, build friendships and spend time in nature. Based on those three key words we would like to present you the scout movement.

Adventure

Abenteuer.jpg

Scouts experience one adventure after the other in their meetings. Our movement offers a rich variety without any boundaries, while other clubs often recap the same exercises. Survival training can go over to singing at the campfire in the blink of an eye. Everybody is able to bring out their talents thanks to a diversified program .

Scouting mixes social engagement with fun.

The best time of every scout year is the summer camp.  You pitch up the tent, built everything up from scratch and surrounded by trees you learn to be independent in a foreign environment. This free ambiance leads to great adventures, because it's easier to overcome fears as a group. One thing is certain: Scouts are never bored.

Friendship

Scouting is a voluntary movement without any political or religious interest. So everybody can join us. Our activities help to overcome demographic barriers by tightening bonds together.

Scout friendships often last for a lifetime.

These friendships go past national boundaries and your native tongue. Then as a scout you are part of a multicultural movement, which includes over 40 million people from 216 different countries. Every four years scouts from all over the world celebrate this strong bond by participating in the World Scout Jamboree.

Nature

Scouting encourages children and teenagers to go outside. Trough activities in the woods they learn to appreciate and sustain nature. This is supported by the modest lifestyle of the summer camp that offers a valuable experience without electrical devices or any other luxury goods.
